The committee performs its work in order to achieve the following principles and foundations:

• Respecting the rights, opinions and dignity of other faculty members and their assistants, researchers from graduate students at the university, as well as those targeted for research.
• Promote excellence in research.
• Exercise an impact on research plans
• Improving the management and organization of research.

Objectives :

Article (2

The committee aims to achieve the following objectives:

• Supporting the application of scientific research ethics at all levels in all the university faculties, especially scientific theses (Masters- Doctorate – Philosophy Doctorate (PhD) - research - research projects.
• Assessing the theoretical and training needs of the faculty members who review the ethical aspects of research in the various university faculties.
• Organizing and coordinating the training of supervisors who supervise the researches of the faculty members.
• Spreading the culture and raising awareness of the ethical rules of scientific research among those in charge of scientific research and those participating in it, by giving periodic lectures and by electronic publishing as well.
• Protecting human rights and preserving his dignity.
• Establishing ethical rules for animal welfare during experiments, and ways and means of getting rid of the dead ones, or those included in failed experiments, after the end of the research.
• Protecting the rights of researchers related to intellectual property in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (83) in 2002
• Encouraging researchers to publish their research in scientific journals and periodicals with a high impact factor, which will be reflected on the academic level of the university’s faculty members, and then raise the university’s global rating.
• Assisting colleges in developing their plans for scientific research
• .Publishing periodic electronic guidelines and information to make committee members and their participants aware of the ethical rules of scientific research.
